Instructions

Season the Chicken

  • Slice chicken into thin strips. Coat well with Cajun seasoning. Make sure every piece is fully covered with spices.

Cook the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chicken strips and cook until golden and fully cooked.

Remove and Set Aside

  • Take the cooked chicken out of the pot. Place it on a plate and keep it covered.

Sauté the Vegetables

  • In the same pot, add chopped onion and bell peppers. Cook until soft and slightly tender.

Add Garlic

  • Add minced garlic to the vegetables. Cook for one minute until fragrant but not browned.

Pour in Broth and Cream

  • Add chicken broth and heavy cream to the pot. Stir well and bring mixture to gentle boil.

Add Linguine

  • Break linguine in half if needed. Place into the pot and push down into liquid fully.

Cook the Pasta

  • Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes. Stir often so pasta does not stick.

Add Seasonings

  • Sprinkle paprika, black pepper and salt if needed. Stir well to combine all flavors.

Return the Chicken

  • Add cooked chicken back into the pot. Mix well with pasta and sauce.

Add Parmesan Cheese

  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese into the pot. Stir until melted and creamy.

Simmer and Thicken

  • Let everything simmer for 3–5 minutes. Sauce will thicken and coat the pasta nicely.

Garnish and Serve

  • Turn off heat. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve warm and enjoy your meal.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for extra juicy meat.
  • Add shrimp for a seafood twist.
  • Use half and half instead of heavy cream for lighter sauce.
  • Add mushrooms for more texture and flavor.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning if you prefer mild spice.
  • Stir pasta often to prevent sticking.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best taste.
  • Add spinach at the end for extra nutrition.
