Ingredients

  • 20 –24 ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 1 tablespoon sugar for coffee
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ cup sliced roasted almonds
  • Cocoa powder or grated chocolate for topping

Instructions

Brew the Coffee

  • Make strong coffee. Add sugar and mix well. Let it cool fully before dipping ladyfingers into it.

Prepare the Cream

  • Beat heavy cream in a bowl. Mix until it becomes thick and forms soft peaks.

Add Mascarpone

  • Add mascarpone cheese to the whipped cream. Mix gently until smooth and creamy.

Flavor the Cream

  • Add vanilla and almond extract. Blend lightly so flavors spread evenly in the mixture.

Dip the Ladyfingers

  • Dip each ladyfinger quickly in cool coffee. Do not soak too long or they will break apart.

Make the First Layer

  • Arrange the dipped ladyfingers in your dish. Cover the bottom with one even layer.

Add Cream Layer

  • Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers. Smooth with a spatula gently.

Add Almonds

  • Sprinkle roasted almonds on top of the cream layer. Add more for extra crunch.

Repeat Layers

  • Add one more layer of dipped ladyfingers. Add the rest of the cream on top.

Final Touch

  • Dust cocoa powder or grated chocolate over the cream. Make a light and even coating.

Chill the Dessert

  • Place the dish in the fridge for at least six hours. Overnight chilling gives a stronger flavor.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Cut or scoop gently. Serve cold. Add extra almonds on top if you want more crunch.

Notes

  • Use fresh, strong coffee for the best flavor. Instant coffee also works if you brew it strong.
  • Do not over-soak ladyfingers. A quick dip keeps the texture perfect.
  • Chill overnight for richer flavor and better firmness.
  • For a stronger almond taste, add a few drops more almond extract.
  • Replace coffee with almond milk for a caffeine-free version.
  • Add amaretto liquor to the coffee dip for an adult twist.
  • Try using chocolate ladyfingers for a deeper, richer taste.
  • Add raspberries or strawberries for a fruity and fresh variation.
