Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 15 oz each navy beans, drained and rinsed
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking dish for the beans.

Cook Bacon

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook chopped bacon until crispy and golden.

Sauté Onion and Garlic

  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until soft and fragrant.

Add Sauce Ingredients

  • Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, vinegar, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Add Beans

  • Add navy beans to the skillet. Stir gently to coat beans evenly with the sauce.

Transfer to Baking Dish

  • Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly.

Bake Beans

  • Bake for 45–60 minutes until bubbly and thickened. Stir once during baking for even cooking.

Cool Slightly

  • Remove from oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Serve

  • Serve warm as a side dish with BBQ, grilled meats or sandwiches.
