Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound flank steak or skirt steak
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

Instructions
 

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper until well combined.

Marinate the Steak

  • Place steak in marinade. Coat evenly and cover. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour for best flavor.

Preheat the Grill

  • Heat grill to high temperature. Make sure it is hot before placing the steak.

Grill the Steak

  • Place steak on grill. Cook 4–5 minutes each side for medium doneness with a nice char.

Rest the Meat

  • Remove steak from grill. Let it rest for 5 minutes to keep juices inside.

Slice the Steak

  • Cut steak against the grain into thin slices. This makes it tender and easy to eat.

Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
