Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Peaches

  • Wash the peaches carefully. Cut them in half and remove the pits using a small spoon or knife.

Make the Glaze

  • Mix melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, honey and lemon juice inside a small mixing bowl.

Heat the Grill

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat. Clean the grill grates lightly to prevent the peaches from sticking.

Brush the Peaches

  • Brush the cut side of each peach generously with the sweet butter glaze mixture using a pastry brush.

Grill the Peaches

  • Place peaches cut side down on the grill. Cook for about four minutes until grill marks appear clearly.

Flip Carefully

  • Turn the peaches gently using tongs. Brush more glaze over the peaches while they continue cooking slowly.

Finish Cooking

  • Cook another three to four minutes until peaches become soft, warm, juicy and slightly caramelized around the edges.

Remove from Grill

  • Transfer grilled peaches carefully onto a serving plate. Let them cool slightly before adding toppings and garnishes.

Add Ice Cream

  • Top each grilled peach half with vanilla ice cream for creamy sweetness and delicious temperature contrast.

Garnish and Serve

  • Add fresh mint leaves on top. Serve immediately while the peaches are warm and flavorful.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm peaches for best grilling results.
  • Nectarines also work well in this recipe.
  • Add chopped nuts for crunchy texture.
  • Use maple syrup instead of honey if preferred.
  • Try whipped cream instead of ice cream.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt for deeper flavor.
  • Grill pineapple slices alongside peaches.
  • Use cinnamon sugar for extra sweetness.
  • Add mascarpone cheese for creamy richness.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce before serving.
