Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups cooked lobster meat
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook macaroni until slightly firm. Drain well and set aside for later.

Prepare the Lobster

  • Cut cooked lobster meat into bite-sized pieces. Remove shells carefully. Keep the lobster chilled until needed for cooking.

Make the Roux

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour slowly. Whisk continuously until smooth and lightly golden colored.

Add the Milk

  • Pour milk slowly into the saucepan. Whisk constantly to avoid lumps. Add heavy cream and continue stirring gently.

Season the Sauce

  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt and black pepper. Stir well until flavors blend nicely together.

Melt the Cheese

  • Add cheddar, Gruyère, and Parmesan cheese gradually. Stir continuously until the sauce becomes smooth, creamy, and thick enough.

Combine Pasta and Lobster

  • Add cooked macaroni and lobster pieces into the cheese sauce. Mix gently until everything becomes evenly coated and creamy.

Prepare the Topping

  • Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter in a bowl. Stir until breadcrumbs become coated and slightly moist for topping.

Fill the Baking Dish

  • Pour macaroni mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread evenly with a spoon for smooth baking and serving.

Add Breadcrumbs

  • Sprinkle buttery breadcrumbs evenly over the top. Cover all areas for a crispy golden crust after baking finishes.

Bake the Dish

  • Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes. The top should become golden brown and the sauce should bubble.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from oven carefully. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Serve warm and enjoy this creamy seafood comfort meal.

  • Use fresh lobster for the best flavor and texture.

  • Add cooked bacon pieces for smoky flavor.
  • Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
