Ingredients
  

  • 4 small cucumbers sliced
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 garlic cloves sliced
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Fresh dill sprigs for garnish

Instructions
 

Wash the Cucumbers

  • Wash cucumbers carefully under cold water. Dry them completely before slicing into thin rounds or spears for pickling.

Prepare the Jar

  • Clean a large glass jar thoroughly. Place sliced cucumbers, garlic, dill and spices inside the jar evenly together.

Make the Brine

  • Add vinegar, water, sugar and salt into saucepan. Heat gently until sugar and salt dissolve completely inside liquid.

Cool the Brine Slightly

  • Remove saucepan from heat carefully. Let the hot brine cool for few minutes before pouring over cucumbers safely.

Pour Over Cucumbers

  • Slowly pour warm brine into jar until cucumbers become fully covered with flavorful pickling liquid and spices completely.

Seal the Jar

  • Close jar tightly using clean lid. Shake gently to spread spices and garlic evenly around cucumber slices inside.

Refrigerate the Pickles

  • Place jar inside refrigerator for at least two hours. Longer chilling creates stronger flavor and crunchier homemade pickles texture.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Remove pickles from refrigerator and serve cold. Garnish with fresh dill for extra flavor and beautiful presentation style.
