Ingredients
  

  • Chicken wings – 1 kg about 12–14 wings
  • Brown sugar – ½ cup
  • Pineapple juice – ½ cup
  • Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic – 2 cloves minced
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes – optional ¼ teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley – for garnish

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Wings

  • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Remove excess moisture for crispier wings.

Season the Wings

  • In a large bowl, mix wings with salt, black pepper and olive oil. Toss well to coat.

Prepare the Glaze

  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic and optional chili flakes. Heat until smooth.

Coat the Wings

  • Brush wings with half of the brown sugar pineapple glaze. Make sure each wing has an even coating.

Arrange on Tray

  • Place the wings on the prepared baking tray. Leave space between wings for even cooking.

Bake the Wings

  • Bake wings in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Flip halfway to cook both sides evenly.

Apply More Glaze

  • Brush remaining glaze on wings. Return to oven for another 15–20 minutes. Wings should be golden and caramelized.

Check for Doneness

  • Ensure wings reach internal temperature of 75°C (165°F). They should be crispy outside and juicy inside.

Serve and Garnish

  • Remove wings from oven. Let them rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use honey instead of brown sugar for a different sweetness.
  • Add a splash of lime juice for extra tanginess.
  • Grill wings instead of baking for smoky flavor.
  • Toss wings in sesame seeds for crunch.
  • Add pineapple chunks for extra tropical taste.
