Instructions

Soak the soy curls

  • Put soy curls in a bowl. Pour warm water on them. Soak for 10 minutes until soft.

Drain the water

  • Use a strainer to remove water. Gently squeeze out extra water from the soy curls.

Prepare the seasoning

  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Marinate the soy curls

  • Pour the seasoning over the soaked soy curls. Stir well so every piece is coated.

Heat the pan

  • Put a frying pan on medium heat. Add a little oil to stop sticking.

Cook the soy curls

  • Add soy curls to the pan. Cook for 10–12 minutes. Stir sometimes for even cooking.

Check the texture

  • Soy curls should be soft, chewy, and fully coated with seasoning. Add more salt or pepper if needed.

Serve hot

  • Take from heat and serve. Pair with rice, noodles, or vegetables for a full meal.

Notes

  • Add vegetables: Include bell peppers, carrots, or broccoli while cooking.
  • Make it spicy: Add chili powder or hot sauce for extra heat.
  • Use in sandwiches: Soy curls are a great filling for wraps or sandwiches.
  • Baking option: Toss soy curls with olive oil and bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes.
  • Extra flavor: Add fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro before serving.
