Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg chicken pieces
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning or 2 tablespoons homemade mix
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

Prepare marinade

  • In a bowl, mix buttermilk and ranch seasoning until well combined.

Marinate chicken

  • Add chicken pieces and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Prepare coating

  • In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Heat oil

  • Heat oil in a deep pan to medium-high temperature.

Coat chicken

  • Remove chicken from marinade and coat in flour mixture evenly.

Double coat

  • Dip again in buttermilk, then coat again with flour for extra crispiness.

Fry chicken

  • Carefully place chicken in hot oil. Fry until golden and cooked through.

Drain excess oil

  • Remove and place on paper towels to absorb extra oil.

Rest before serving

  • Let chicken rest for a few minutes to keep juices inside.

Serve hot

  • Serve crispy and enjoy.
