Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Mushroom Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh basil
  • Extra Parmesan cheese
  • Cracked black pepper

Instructions
 

Preheat The Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish if needed.

Prepare The Chicken

  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking.

Season The Chicken

  • Sprinkle both sides with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.

Sear The Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken for three minutes per side.

Wrap With Prosciutto

  • Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of prosciutto.

Cook The Mushrooms

  • Melt butter in the skillet and sauté the mushrooms until golden.

Add Garlic

  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant.

Make The Sauce

  • Pour in the white wine and chicken broth. Simmer for five minutes before adding heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.

Assemble The Dish

  • Place the chicken into the skillet or baking dish. Spoon the mushroom sauce over each piece and top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake

  • Bake for about fifteen minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the cheese is melted.

Garnish

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley, thyme and extra Parmesan cheese over the chicken.

  • Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes while the sauce is hot and creamy.
