Ingredients
  

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

Boil the Lasagna Noodles

  • Bring salted water to a boil. Cook noodles until just tender. Drain and lay flat carefully.

Heat the Oil

  • Place a large skillet on medium heat. Add olive oil and let it warm gently.

Cook the Onion

  • Add chopped onion to skillet. Cook until soft and light golden, stirring often.

Add the Garlic

  • Add minced garlic to onions. Cook for thirty seconds until fragrant, not burned.

Brown the Beef

Season the Beef

Prepare Cheese Mixture

  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, and half Parmesan cheese until smooth.

Prepare Baking Dish

First Layer

Add Meat Sauce

Bake Uncovered
