  • 4 cups frozen broccoli florets thawed
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers about 1 sleeve
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease the baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.

Prepare the Broccoli

  • If using frozen broccoli, thaw it first. Drain all extra water so the casserole doesn’t get soggy.

Mix the Base

  • In a big bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and half the cheese.

Add Seasoning

  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well until smooth and creamy.

Add Broccoli

  • Put the broccoli into the bowl and mix until it’s covered with the creamy sauce.

Pour into Baking Dish

  • Spread the broccoli mix evenly in the greased baking dish. Smooth the top.

Add More Cheese

  • Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar cheese over the top.

Make the Topping

  • In a small bowl, mix the crushed crackers with melted butter. Stir well.

Add Topping

  • Sprinkle the buttery cracker crumbs over the casserole.

Bake the Casserole

  • Put it in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Cool Slightly

  • Take it out of the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
