For the topping:

  • 4 large potatoes boiled
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup warm milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Boil the potatoes

  • Peel and boil potatoes until soft. Drain water and mash with butter, milk and salt.

Prepare the fish

  • Cut fish into chunks. Keep them clean and dry for better cooking.

Cook the onion

  • Heat oil and butter. Cook onion until soft and light golden.

Make the sauce base

  • Add butter and flour. Stir well until smooth and lightly cooked.

Add milk slowly

  • Pour milk slowly while whisking. Make a smooth, thick white sauce.
