Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup green beans optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish lightly.

Toast Almonds

  • In a skillet, toast sliced almonds for 2–3 minutes until golden. Set aside.

Cook Aromatics

  • In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onion and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.

Make Sauce

  • Add heavy cream, chicken broth, salt, pepper, paprika and lemon juice. Simmer 3–4 minutes.

Combine Chicken

  • Add shredded chicken and optional green beans to the sauce. Mix well.

Assemble Casserole

  • Transfer mixture to the baking dish.

Add Topping

  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese and toasted almonds evenly on top.

Bake

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Cool Slightly

  • Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
