Ingredients
  

  • 12 manicotti pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil for greasing dish

Instructions
 

Preheat oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F or 190°C.

Cook pasta

  • Cook manicotti shells according to package instructions. Drain and cool slightly.

Prepare filling

  • In mixing bowl, combine ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, parsley, salt, pepper.

Grease baking dish

  • Lightly grease the baking dish with olive oil.

Stuff pasta

  • Fill each manicotti shell with cheese mixture using spoon.

Arrange shells

  • Place stuffed shells in greased baking dish in a single layer.

Add sauce

  • Pour tomato sauce evenly over the shells.

Top with cheese

  • Sprinkle remaining mozzarella over top.

Cover dish

  • Cover dish with aluminum foil to prevent drying.

Bake

  • Bake for 25 minutes covered.

Uncover

  • Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until golden.

Rest

  • Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Garnish

  • Add fresh parsley on top for decoration.

Serve

  • Serve warm and enjoy creamy stuffed pasta.
