Ingredients
  

For Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water

For Topping

  • 1/2 pound ground beef or lamb
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Prepare Dough

  • Mix flour, salt, sugar and yeast. Add warm water and knead until soft dough forms.

Let Dough Rise

  • Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes until slightly risen.

Prepare Topping

  • Mix ground meat, onion, tomato, garlic, parsley, tomato paste and spices until combined.

Divide Dough

  • Divide dough into small balls. Roll each into thin circles like flatbread.

Spread Topping

  • Spread a thin layer of meat mixture over each dough circle evenly.

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 450°F or highest setting for best results.

Bake Lahmacun

  • Place on baking tray and bake for 7–10 minutes until edges are crispy.

Remove from Oven
