Ingredients
  

  • 400 grams fresh button mushrooms
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko preferred
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for deep frying

For Ranch Dip:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Clean the Mushrooms

  • Wipe mushrooms with a damp cloth. Slice them evenly. Keep slices medium thick for better texture and frying results.

Prepare the Coating Stations

  • Take three bowls. Add flour in first bowl. Beat eggs in second bowl. Add breadcrumbs and spices in third bowl.

Season the Flour

  • Mix salt, pepper, and garlic powder into the flour. This step adds flavor inside the crispy coating.

Dip in Flour

  • Take mushroom slice. Coat it fully in flour. Shake off extra flour before dipping into egg mixture.

Dip in Egg

  • Place floured mushroom into beaten eggs. Make sure it is fully covered for proper breadcrumb sticking.

Coat with Breadcrumbs

  • Roll egg-coated mushroom in breadcrumbs. Press gently so crumbs stick well. Place on plate and repeat.

Heat the Oil

  • Pour oil into frying pan. Heat on medium flame. Oil should be hot but not smoking.

Fry the Mushrooms

  • Carefully place coated mushrooms into hot oil. Do not overcrowd pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy.

Drain Excess Oil

  • Remove fried mushrooms with tongs. Place on paper towels. This removes extra oil and keeps them crisp.

Prepare the Ranch Dip

  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, herbs, lemon juice and spices. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Serve Immediately

  • Serve hot fried mushrooms with chilled ranch dip. Enjoy the perfect crispy and creamy combination.
