Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breasts boneless
  • 8 slices turkey ham or chicken ham
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese or mozzarella
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken

  • Place chicken on a board. Cover and pound gently until thin and flat.

Season the Meat

  • Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder on both sides of each chicken piece.

Add Ham

  • Place two slices of ham on each flattened chicken breast evenly.

Add Cheese

  • Place cheese slices on top of the ham for a creamy center.

Roll the Chicken

  • Roll tightly from one side. Tuck edges to keep filling inside.

Chill the Rolls

  • Place rolls in fridge for ten minutes to help them stay firm.

Prepare Coating Bowls

  • Place flour in one bowl. Whisk eggs and milk in another bowl.

Add Breadcrumbs

  • Mix breadcrumbs with paprika in a shallow plate for coating.

Coat with Flour

  • Roll each chicken in flour. Shake off extra flour gently.

Dip in Egg

  • Dip floured chicken into egg mixture. Coat all sides evenly.

Cover with Crumbs

  • Roll in breadcrumbs. Press gently to stick coating well.

Heat the Pan

  • Heat butter and olive oil in a pan until hot.

Fry the Chicken

  • Fry rolls until golden on all sides. Turn gently with tongs.

Transfer to Oven

  • Place on baking tray. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes.

Rest Before Cutting

  • Let rest five minutes before slicing and serving warm.
