Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 roasted jalapeños seeded
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado for extra creaminess
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • Fresh parsley
  • Extra lime zest

Instructions
 

Roast The Jalapeños

  • Roast the jalapeños in a dry skillet until lightly charred on all sides.

Cool The Peppers

  • Allow the roasted jalapeños to cool for a few minutes before handling.

Prepare The Ingredients

  • Wash the cilantro and peel the garlic cloves.

Add Creamy Ingredients

  • Place the mayonnaise and sour cream into the blender.

Add Herbs

  • Add the fresh cilantro and roasted jalapeños.

Add Seasonings

  • Add garlic, lime juice, olive oil, cumin, onion powder, salt and black pepper.

Blend Smooth

  • Blend everything until the sauce becomes completely smooth and creamy.

Taste The Sauce

  • Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.

Add Optional Ingredients

  • Blend in avocado or hot sauce if you want extra richness or spice.

Chill The Sauce

  • Transfer the sauce to a container and refrigerate for at least thirty minutes.
