Ingredients
  

  • 200 g spaghetti or thin egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil optional

Instructions
 

Boil the Noodles

  • Fill a big pot with water. Add a pinch of salt. Boil noodles until soft. Drain and set aside.

Chop Garlic

  • Peel garlic cloves. Chop or crush them for the best flavor.

Melt Butter

  • Heat a pan on medium. Add butter. Let it melt slowly.

Cook Garlic

  • Add garlic to butter. Stir for 1–2 minutes. Do not burn it.

Add Sauces

  • Pour soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir well to mix with butter and garlic.

Add Sugar and Pepper

  • Sprinkle sugar and black pepper. Stir to mix all flavors.

Add Noodles

  • Put boiled noodles in the pan. Mix well to coat noodles with sauce.

Cook for Flavor

  • Cook noodles for 2–3 minutes. Stir often to stop sticking and improve taste.

Add Herbs

  • Add green onions and parsley. Toss lightly to mix.

Final Touch

  • Drizzle sesame oil if using. Stir one last time and turn off heat.

Serve Hot

  • Put noodles on a plate or bowl. Serve immediately for best taste.

  • Use fresh garlic for strong flavor.
  • Add cooked shrimp, chicken, or beef for protein.
  • Adjust soy sauce and sugar to your taste.
