Ingredients

  • Rolled oats
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • Coconut oil or olive oil
  • Brown sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts
  • Seeds like pumpkin or sunflower seeds
  • Dried fruits like raisins or cranberries

Instructions

Prepare the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and burning.

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • Add rolled oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt to a large bowl. Stir until everything mixes evenly.

Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In a small bowl, mix honey, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well blended.

Mix Everything Together

  • Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir gently until all oats are fully coated and sticky.

Spread on Baking Sheet

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet. Press it down lightly using a spatula.

Bake Slowly

  • Place the tray in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes without stirring to help clusters form.

Rotate the Pan

  • Turn the baking sheet for even cooking. Do not break the granola while rotating.

Continue Baking

  • Bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

Cool Completely

  • Remove the tray from the oven. Let the granola cool fully before touching it.

Add Dried Fruit

  • Once cooled, gently break into clusters. Add dried fruits and mix lightly.

Notes

  • Use old-fashioned oats for the best texture.
  • Avoid quick oats because they become soft.
  • Press the mixture firmly for larger clusters.
  • Do not stir too much while baking.
  • Let granola cool fully before breaking.
  • Add chocolate chips after cooling for sweetness.
  • Use peanut butter for extra protein.
  • Try coconut flakes for tropical flavor.
