Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions
 

Make the Marinade

  • Mix soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Add the Steak to the Marinade

  • Place flank steak in a zip bag. Pour the marinade over it and seal tightly to avoid leaks.

Chill the Steak for Best Flavor

  • Keep the bag in the refrigerator for at least two hours. Let the steak absorb strong flavors.

Heat the Grill Pan

  • Preheat your grill pan or grill on high heat. Make sure it becomes very hot before cooking.

Remove Steak from Marinade

  • Take the steak out of the bag. Allow extra marinade to drip off before placing it on the grill.

Grill the Steak

  • Cook the steak for six minutes per side. Try not to move it too much during cooking.

Check for Doneness

  • Make sure the steak is medium-rare or medium. Remember flank steak gets tough when overcooked.

Rest the Steak

  • Place the cooked steak on a cutting board. Let it rest for ten minutes before slicing it.

Slice the Steak

  • Cut the steak into thin strips. Slice against the grain to keep the meat soft and easy to chew.
