Ingredients

For the Base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs or crushed digestive biscuits
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup peanut butter

Instructions

Prepare the Pan

  • Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Leave edges hanging for easy removal later.

Mix Base Ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar and peanut butter. Mix until smooth.

Press Base into Pan

  • Transfer mixture into prepared pan. Use spatula to press evenly into the bottom for a firm, flat base.

Chill Base

  • Place pan in refrigerator for 15-20 minutes. Chilling makes base firm and easier to top with chocolate.

Melt Chocolate

  • In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with peanut butter. Stir until smooth and glossy.

Spread Chocolate

  • Pour melted chocolate mixture over chilled base. Use spatula to spread evenly, covering entire surface.

Chill Bars

  • Return pan to refrigerator. Chill for at least 2 hours or until chocolate topping sets completely.

Slice Bars

  • Lift bars out using parchment paper. Use a sharp knife to cut into squares or rectangles.

Serve

  • Arrange bars on a plate. Serve chilled or at room temperature for soft, creamy bites.

Enjoy

  • Enjoy rich, chocolatey, and peanut buttery bars as a snack, dessert or party treat.

Notes

  • Use crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
  • Substitute graham cracker crumbs with digestive biscuits or Oreo crumbs.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt on top of chocolate for flavor contrast.
  • Use dark chocolate for richer, less sweet bars.
  • Add mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the base for crunch.
  • Make mini bars in muffin tins for individual servings.
  • Store in airtight container to keep fresh and chewy.
  • Use natural peanut butter for a healthier variation.
