Ingredients

  • 1 round brie cheese wheel
  • 2 tablespoons honey or fruit jam
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts pecans or walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • Crackers or sliced bread for serving

Instructions

Preheat the oven

  • Preheat oven to 180°C. This ensures even baking and helps the brie melt perfectly.

Prepare the brie

  • Place the brie wheel in a small baking dish. You can leave the rind on for structure.

Add topping

  • Spread honey or jam over the top. Sprinkle nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.

Bake the brie

  • Place in oven and bake for 12–15 minutes until soft and slightly melted inside.

Check doneness

  • Press gently in the center. It should feel soft but not completely collapsed.

Remove from oven

  • Take out carefully. The cheese will be hot and very soft.

Rest briefly

  • Let it cool for a few minutes. This helps it thicken slightly for serving.

Serve warm

  • Place on a serving plate. Serve with crackers or bread slices.

Enjoy immediately

  • Dip crackers into melted brie. Enjoy a rich, creamy and sweet appetizer.

Notes

  • Use fig jam or apricot jam for different flavors
  • Add dried cranberries for sweetness
  • Wrap in puff pastry for a fancy version
  • Use almonds instead of pecans
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes for contrast
  • Serve immediately for best texture
