Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 slices bread cubed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions
 

Preheat oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.

Cook sausage

  • Brown sausage in a skillet until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.

Cook vegetables

  • Sauté onion and bell pepper in butter until soft.

Prepare bread

  • Spread bread cubes in the baking dish.

Add fillings

  • Top bread with sausage, vegetables and shredded cheese.

Make egg mixture

  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Pour and bake

  • Pour egg mixture over casserole and bake for 40–45 minutes.

Cool and serve

  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
