Ingredients
  

For the Meatloaf:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 loaf pan.

Prepare Meat Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, shredded cheddar, bread crumbs, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

Mix Well

  • Use hands or a spoon to mix ingredients until fully combined.

Shape in Pan

  • Transfer mixture to the loaf pan. Shape into a loaf.

Prepare Topping

  • In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar and mustard.

Spread Topping

  • Spread mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55–60 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Rest

  • Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing to retain juices.

Slice and Serve

  • Cut into thick slices and serve with your favorite sides.
