Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugar

  • Beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla

  • Add eggs one at a time. Mix well. Stir in vanilla extract.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt.

Combine Mixtures

  • Add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Mix until smooth dough forms.

Add Oats

  • Stir in oats and raisins or chocolate chips if using.

Shape Cookies

  • Scoop dough into small balls and place on baking tray.

Bake Cookies

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft.

Cool Cookies

  • Let cookies cool on tray for 5 minutes before transferring.
