  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup cucumber chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until firm. Drain and rinse with cold water to cool.

Prepare the Dressing

  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.

Chop the Vegetables

  • Chop tomatoes, cucumber, bell peppers and onion into small pieces. Keep sizes even for better texture.

Combine Pasta and Veggies

  • Place cooled pasta in a large bowl. Add chopped vegetables and mix gently so everything combines well.

Add Dressing

  • Pour the prepared dressing over pasta mixture. Stir gently until all ingredients are well coated.

Add Cheese and Herbs

  • Add shredded cheese and fresh parsley. Mix again lightly to keep the salad fresh and fluffy.

Chill the Salad

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This helps flavors blend together perfectly.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the salad after chilling. Add more salt or pepper if needed for better flavor.

Serve Fresh

  • Serve chilled for best taste. Stir lightly before serving to refresh the texture.

Enjoy Your Dish

  • Enjoy your homemade Paula Deen pasta salad recipe with family or guests at any occasion.
