Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley

Instructions
 

Heat Oil

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until warm.

Cook Vegetables

  • Add onion, bell pepper and celery. Cook for 5 minutes until soft.

Add Garlic

  • Stir in garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant.

Add Tomatoes

  • Pour in crushed tomatoes and mix well.

Add Broth

  • Add chicken broth and stir to combine.

Season Sauce

  • Add paprika, cayenne, salt, pepper, thyme and Worcestershire sauce.

Simmer Sauce

  • Let the sauce simmer for 15–20 minutes to develop flavor.

Add Shrimp

  • Add shrimp to the sauce and stir gently.

Cook Shrimp

  • Cook for 4–5 minutes until shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley and serve hot.
