Ingredients
  

For the Brownies:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the Peanut Butter Filling:

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Topping:

  • Chocolate chips or drizzle
  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.

Make Brownie Batter

  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.

Add Eggs and Vanilla

  • Stir in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking powder.

Combine Wet and Dry

  • Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until smooth, but do not overmix.

Fill Muffin Cups

  • Spoon half of brownie batter into each cupcake liner, filling about 1/3 full.

Add Peanut Butter

  • In a small bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar and vanilla. Drop a teaspoon of peanut butter mixture on top of brownie batter in each cup.

Top with Remaining Batter

  • Spoon remaining brownie batter over peanut butter, covering slightly but leaving a little swirl visible.

Bake Brownie Cups

  • Bake for 18–20 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool in pan for 5 minutes.

Optional Topping

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips or drizzle melted chocolate on top. Add flaky sea salt for flavor contrast.

Cool Completely

  • Transfer brownie cups to wire rack and let cool completely before serving.
