Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: dried parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Cauliflower

  • Wash the cauliflower and cut it into small florets. Remove the thick stem pieces because they stay hard after cooking.

Steam the Florets

  • Place the florets in a steamer basket. Steam for 12 minutes until they turn soft and very tender.

Transfer to Blender

  • Carefully place the hot florets into a blender or food processor. Keep the lid loose so steam can escape safely.

Add Butter and Cream

  • Pour in the butter and heavy cream. These make the mash creamy, smooth, and rich in flavor.

Blend Until Smooth

  • Blend the mixture until it becomes soft and silky. Scrape the sides if needed to avoid chunky pieces.

Add Garlic and Cheese

  • Add minced garlic and Parmesan cheese. Blend again so everything mixes well and becomes extra flavorful.

Season the Mash

  • Add salt and black pepper. Taste the mash and adjust the seasoning to match your liking.

Transfer to Bowl

  • Scoop the mashed cauliflower into a serving bowl. Smooth the top with a spoon for a neat look.

Add Garnish

  • Sprinkle dried parsley or a little extra cheese. This adds color and enhances the taste.

Serve Warm

  • Serve the mash warm with grilled chicken, steak, or roasted vegetables. Enjoy the rich and buttery taste.

Notes

  • Steam instead of boil for a thicker texture.
  • Add cream cheese for extra creaminess and a richer flavor.
  • Use roasted garlic instead of raw garlic for a sweet, deep taste.
  • Add herbs like thyme, rosemary, or chives for a fresh twist.
  • Make it dairy-free by using olive oil and coconut milk instead of butter and cream.
  • Mix a little mashed potato if you want a half-and-half blend.
