Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter soft
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For Frosting:

  • ½ cup butter soft
  • cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Food coloring optional
  • Sprinkles optional

Instructions
 

  • Cream Butter and Sugar
  • Add butter and sugar to a bowl. Beat until light, fluffy and creamy in texture.
  • Add Egg
  • Crack egg into mixture. Beat well until smooth and fully mixed.
  • Add Milk and Vanilla
  • Pour milk and vanilla extract. Mix gently until combined nicely.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients
  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Combine Mixtures
  • Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture. Mix until soft dough forms.
  • Chill Dough
  • Cover bowl and chill dough for 30 minutes. This helps shape cookies better.
  • Preheat Oven
  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Line baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Shape Cookies
  • Scoop dough balls. Place on tray. Leave space between each cookie.
  • Bake Cookies
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Edges should be set, centers soft.
  • Cool Cookies
  • Remove tray from oven. Let cookies cool on rack completely.
  • Make Frosting
  • Beat butter in a bowl. Add powdered sugar slowly and mix well.
  • Add Flavor
  • Add vanilla and milk. Beat until frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • Color Frosting
  • Add food coloring if needed. Mix until color is even.
  • Frost Cookies
  • Spread frosting on cooled cookies using a spoon or spatula.
  • Decorate
  • Add sprinkles on top. Let frosting set before serving.
