Ingredients

  • 225 g spicy Italian sausage
  • 250 g pasta penne or any shape
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Sausage

  • Heat oil in a large pan. Add spicy sausage. Cook until brown and crumbly for rich flavor.

Add Onion

  • Add chopped onion to the pan. Stir for a few minutes until the onion becomes soft and clear.

Mix in Garlic

  • Add minced garlic to the sausage mixture. Stir gently until the garlic becomes fragrant and warm.

Add Tomato Sauce

  • Pour tomato sauce into the pan. Mix well to combine everything and create a thick, rich base.

Add Broth and Pasta

  • Add chicken broth and dry pasta. Stir gently so the pasta sits evenly in the liquid.

Simmer the Pasta

  • Cook pasta on low heat. Let it absorb the sauce until soft. Stir sometimes to prevent sticking.

Add Cream

  • Pour heavy cream into the pan. Mix gently to create a smooth and creamy sauce for the pasta.

Season the Dish

  • Add chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Adjust the spice level based on your taste preference.

Add Cheese

  • Mix shredded cheese into the pasta. Stir slowly until the cheese melts into the creamy sauce.

Garnish and Serve

  • Turn off the heat. Add fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy the rich and spicy pasta.

Notes

  • Use spicy sausage for strong flavor. Mild sausage works too if you prefer less heat.
  • Stir the pasta often so it cooks evenly and does not stick to the pan.
  • Add more broth if the mixture becomes too thick during cooking.
  • Use mozzarella or cheddar for extra creamy texture and rich taste.
  • Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for more color and nutrition.
  • Try different pasta shapes such as rotini, rigatoni, or shells. They hold the sauce well.
  • Add extra chili flakes if you love strong heat and bold flavor in your pasta.
