Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Do not grease baking sheet.

Cream Butter & Sugar

  • In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Egg & Vanilla

  • Mix in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.

Add Dry Ingredients

  • Gradually add flour and salt. Mix until soft dough forms.

Fill Cookie Press

  • Place dough into cookie press with desired shape disc.

Form Cookies

  • Press cookies onto baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.

Bake Cookies

  • Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

Cool

  • Let cookies cool on rack before serving.

Notes

  • Add almond extract for extra flavor
  • Use food coloring for festive cookies
  • Decorate with sprinkles before baking
  • Dip in chocolate after baking
  • Chill dough slightly if too soft
  • Use different discs for fun shapes
  • Store dough covered to prevent drying
