Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen or canned corn
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley optional

Instructions

Prepare the Corn

  • Heat the saucepan on medium heat. Add the corn and let it warm slowly until soft and tender.

Add the Butter

  • Drop the butter into the warm corn. Stir slowly until the butter melts completely and coats the corn well.

Add the Seasonings

  • Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and sugar. Mix gently so all the flavors blend together.

Pour in the Cream

  • Add the heavy cream slowly. Stir the mixture until it becomes creamy, smooth, and rich in texture.

Cook on Low Heat

  • Keep the heat low and cook the corn for 5 more minutes. This helps everything mix well without burning.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the corn. Add a little more salt, sugar, or pepper if you want stronger flavor.

Garnish and Serve

  • Turn off the heat. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve warm with your favorite meal.

Notes

  • Use fresh corn: Fresh corn gives the best flavor, but frozen or canned also works well.
  • Add cheese: Mix in shredded Parmesan or cheddar for a richer, cheesier taste.
  • Make it spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili flakes to add heat.
  • Make it sweeter: Add half a tablespoon more sugar if you like sweet-style corn.
  • Use milk instead of cream: If you want a lighter version, replace cream with whole milk.
  • Add herbs: Rosemary, parsley, or thyme add a fresh, natural flavor.
