  • Fresh mint
  • Shallot

Instructions

Wash The Herbs

  • Rinse the parsley and cilantro under cool water. Dry them thoroughly before chopping to prevent excess water.

Chop The Herbs

  • Finely chop the parsley and cilantro with a sharp knife. Avoid turning them into a smooth paste.

Prepare The Garlic

  • Peel the garlic cloves and mince them very finely for even flavor throughout the sauce.

Combine The Herbs

  • Place the chopped parsley and cilantro into a medium mixing bowl and gently stir them together.

Add The Garlic

  • Add the minced garlic to the herbs. Mix gently until the garlic is evenly distributed.

Add The Vinegar

  • Pour the red wine vinegar and fresh lemon juice into the bowl and stir well.

Add The Olive Oil

  • Slowly pour in the olive oil while stirring continuously until the sauce becomes evenly combined.

Add The Seasonings

  • Stir in the oregano, red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper until everything is well mixed.

Taste The Sauce

  • Taste the chimichurri and adjust the vinegar, salt, lemon juice, or pepper according to your preference.

Let It Rest

  • Allow the sauce to rest at room temperature for at least twenty minutes before serving.

Stir Again

  • Give the sauce another gentle stir before serving to redistribute the herbs and seasonings.

Serve And Enjoy

  • Spoon the chimichurri over grilled steak, chicken, seafood, vegetables, potatoes or crusty bread.
