Ingredients
  

  • 1 prepared pie crust
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus trimmed and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and place the pie crust into a pie dish.

Pre-Bake the Crust

  • Bake the crust for 8 minutes to keep it crisp.

Cook Vegetables

  • Sauté asparagus and onions in butter until slightly tender.

Add Cheese

  • Spread the cooked vegetables and cheese into the crust.

Prepare Egg Mixture

  • Whisk eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Fill the Crust

  • Pour the egg mixture over the asparagus mixture.

Bake the Quiche

  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is set.

Cool and Serve

  • Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Add cooked bacon for extra flavor
  • Use Gruyere cheese instead of Swiss
  • Add mushrooms
  • Do not overbake
