Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 cups potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare the ingredients

  • Peel and chop potatoes, onion and garlic. Clean shrimp and set aside for later cooking.

Cook the vegetables

  • Melt butter in a pot. Add onion and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.

Add potatoes and broth

  • Add diced potatoes and chicken broth. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil.

Cook until soft

  • Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cooked through.

Make thick base

  • In a small bowl, mix flour with milk. Stir until smooth without lumps.

Add milk mixture

  • Pour the milk mixture into the soup. Stir continuously to thicken the soup.

Add cream and spices

  • Add heavy cream, salt, pepper and paprika. Mix well for a rich flavor.

Cook shrimp

  • Add shrimp to the pot. Cook for 5–7 minutes until shrimp turn pink and fully cooked.
