Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups baking mix like Bisquick
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 2 tablespoons milk if needed

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Ingredients

  • Let cream cheese soften at room temperature. Shred fresh cheddar cheese for better melting.

Mix the Sausage

  • Place sausage in a large bowl. Add softened cream cheese and mix well.

Add Dry Ingredients

  • Add baking mix, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and cayenne pepper.

Combine Everything

  • Mix until fully combined. If mixture feels dry, add milk one tablespoon at a time.

Shape the Balls

  • Use a cookie scoop or your hands. Roll mixture into small balls.

Arrange on Baking Sheet

  • Place sausage balls evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Leave small space between each ball.

Bake Until Golden

  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
